Oh sweet! would love to see you for more Tier lists in the future, are you still doing Top 10s?
@@goldenchild8639 Yes I will be doing more Top 10 videos in the future, just been focusing on doing other videos recently, Thanks for watching!
I later realized after making this that the list was missing "Body Bags" so if that was on the list if would have gone in Very Good.
I was just thinking when watching that something was missing, it's funny that the 3 you haven't seen are also the only 3 carpenter films I haven't seen as well.
My Ranking is 1. A Nightmare On Elm Street 2. A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 : Dream Warriors 3. Wes Cravens New Nightmare 4. Freddy vs Jason 5. A Nightmare On Elm Street 4 : The Dream Master 6. A Nightmare On Elm Street 5 : The Dream Child 7. A Nightmare On Elm Street 2 : Freddy’s Revenge 8. A Nightmare On Elm Street : Remake 9. Freddy’s Dead : New Nightmare
8. Requiem 7. Covenant 6. AVP 5. Prometheus 4. Resurrection 3. Aliens 2. Alien 3 1. Alien Sue me.
Certified Stuffy here
Cool! looking forward to more episodes, curious what you guys think of the news that were getting TMNT The Last Ronin movie!
Yes we will definitely talk about that next episode!
The one with Robert Townsend even though the end was a little sad, it was like Little Shop of Horrors but Lucy was nicer than Audrey
There are so many interesting stories in this movie. Like when the truck drove off that bridge, none of the camera crew wanted to film that scene cause it was too Dangerous. So James Cameron grabbed the cameras and did the shot himself. Mans got balls
1)aliens 2)alien 3)Prometheus 4)alien covenant 5)avpr 6)avp 7)alien 3 8)alien resurrection
Excellent ranking, here’s mine imo: 9. TCM: The Next Generation 8. Leatherface 7. Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III 6. Texas Chainsaw 3D 5. TCM (2022) 4.The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 3. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning 2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) 1. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)
Great list. Nice to know that there is a group that still likes this show.
'Salvation' was a step in the right direction. It just needed some tweaks here and there. The juxtaposition is clever too, with Kyle Reese's cyborg guardian being from the past. One problem is the Resistance's use of contemporary small arms. It's been long established that wimpy calibers do jack monkey squat to a walking tank. You need an anti-material rifle bare minimum. Even 40mm grenades only damage the flesh and maybe the outside of that hyper alloy combat chassis. To one of those things down, you have to destroy the heart or the brain. That's why the Resistance used particle beam weapons. Starship Troopers suffers from the same issue. The enemy is biomechanoid in nature, yet the Mobile Infantry goes into battle with wimpy small arms. Note: Here's now a coherent Terminator SAGA could have been structured: four-part or six-part saga with the first two set in "the past." A four-parter would have that, then the second half would be "the future." A six-parter could be divvied up into thirds with the second third being set in, say, the twenty-teens and early 2020s (basically the 'Salvation' era), and the final third would be set in the mid to late 2020s.
The The Sarah Connor Chronicles were really good, the last good terminator
Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991) is my top favorite. The Terminator (1984) is my second favorite. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) is OK. Don’t like them rest of them. 👎🏻
Terminator Salvation was definitely the next best after the first two
For me 6 Salvation 5 Genisys 4 Dark Fate 3 part 3 2 Judgment Day 1 The Terminator (one of my favorite horror movies) Even though part 2 basically copies part 1 and makes it an action movie, it's still the greatest sequel, behind Aliens.
It's hard for me to pick which movie is better, T1 or T2. I honestly think they are neck and neck. Yes, T2 is amazing budget-wise, but T1 is so dark with horror elements, which I love. And I love Arnie being the bad guy in T1. So yeah I can't pick which one is better. They're both amazing.
For me Its: Terminator Genesis Terminator Salvation Terminator 3 Terminator Dark Fate Terminator Original Terminator 2
Mine are: 6:Terminator Salvation 5:Terminator Genisys 4:Terminator Dark Fate 3:Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines 2: The Terminator 1:Terminator 2 Judgement Day The Series Sarah Conner Chronicles was also really good.
How would you Rank the Terminator Franchise?
Come check out the first independent horror anthology show with all unique short films, skits, and music videos. Hallow Ian Horror Hour!
“The Stinger”, “The Good Death”, “Greed For A Pirate’s Dream”, “Whale Song”, and “Lap of Luxury” are my favorites. Lt Shan’s introduction proves he should’ve been on the show the whole time, and Lucas proving he can contribute to the crew while not falling into the “Wesley Saves The Ship” trope is always a plus. The best thing they did in 2032 is how they finally figured out what to do with Lucas and Piccolo. There’s that officer and NonCom tension of two friends, Piccolo finally feeling jealous enough to do something about his life, and Captain Hudson giving enough incentive for Tony to step up. That being said, I’d have loved to see Chief Crocker come back, and help Lucas and Tony realize their relationship is much like his and Bridger’s, that “Chiefs run the Navy”, and Piccolo could get that much needed Earthly wisdom from a man who sacrificed his marriage for the service.
I love this show! Very true it's unbalanced at times, but that adds to its charm. Some of the episodes like Secret Cinema have a potentially great premise, but the finished product feels like it was given up on. But as soon as you see two mediocre stories BAM you get hit with a The Doll, Gather Ye Acorns, or Go To the Head of the Class. Think it would've found better footing in a third season. Was really excited for the reboot, but on first watch there was no standouts. It's really hard for an anthology series to succeed as now most people want to Marvelize everything.
I agree 100% on Jason X. It's just a silly, self-aware movie. It's something to have on in the background and it's a good time .Doesn't wear out its welcome.
05:32 is that Weird Al?
No, that is Mark Blankfield who plays one of the creators of the show in that episode, but he certainly does look a lot like him.
Gremlins is still a movie right? I have not awoken in some realm where this is it ?
Love Love Love this show!!! there was also a rumour of a 20th episode the was filmed but never finished
I don't think that rumour is entirely true but who knows, It might have been that it was written but not filmed.
15: All monsters attack 14: Godzilla vs Gigan 13: Godzilla raids again 12: Son of Godzilla 11: Ghidorah the 3 headed monster 10: Invasion of Astro monster 9: Godzilla vs Hedorah 8: Godzilla vs Megalon 7: King Kong vs Godzilla 6: Ebirah horror of the deep 5: Destroy all monsters 4: Mothra vs Godzilla 3: Terror of Mechagodzilla 2: Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 1: Gojira
Wait Joe Dante was involved in this!? well now I got to check it out
This and Are you Afraid of the Dark were my favorites growing up, I love Jason Madden but didn't really like Dash X very much and I wish they just kept it focused on Marshall and Simon.
I loved Dash myself! and wish they did a spinoff
Loved watching this as a kid and, so wish it lasted longer, never seen the other dimension show, but didn't they connected the two shows, might give it watch at some point.
One of my favorite shows! the best episode to me is The Lost Hour.
It’s a great series so underrated A++++ Steve Buscemi and Matt Leblanc was in an episode.
For me, not being a fan of the character of Kong, I go into the movies for the story and human characters. So my ranking is 4. Peter Jackson's 3. 1933 2. 1976 1. Skull Island
Requiem is by far the worst for the simple reason that it's impossible to see what's happening
In order of preference: ALIEN ALIENS PROMETHEUS ALIEN COVENANT ALIEN3 ALIEN RESURRECTION
Alien is categorically better than Aliens. I love Aliens, but to say it's better than Alien in every aspect?!?! Absolutely not. Alien has dread, mystery, unrelenting intensity that ramps up over time. Not to mention how beautifully stylistic and artistic the cinematography is shot. The sound design and soundtrack are next level. Alien creates an atmosphere and uncertain tone that Aliens just can not compete with. While Aliens is a fast paced herd of elephants stampeding across your face, Alien is a termite infestation that quietly and insidiously eats away at your insides until the structure becomes unstable and implodes. Aliens is a fun, thrilling Sci-Fi romp, whereas Alien is a terrifying, claustrophobic masterpiece. I'll take the horrific masterpiece any day.
Honestly their both arguably masterpieces for different reasons, I just happen to prefer Aliens myself, but I absolutely agree with all your praise for the technical aspects of Alien and I praise Aliens for much the same reasons, their two very different kinds of movies so really it depends on what you’re on your own personal taste is, you can appreciate them both for different reasons and technically achievements and still prefer one over the other. Thanks for watching!
This is very easy Alien and Aliens were great movies and no more sequels were needed. Everything that came after was utter shit. AVP films were ridiculous
Great ranking! Despite being considered “bad” I enjoy watching AvP, guilty pleasure I guess 😅
The worst is the upcoming Alien ROMULUS, NOT DESERVING that ROMVLVS latin name, featuring 12 year olds as CREW that supposed to fight Aliens, maybe Aliens will all serender after seeing all the KIDS
Good pick. I have Without Diana at 1, Falsworth at 2 and Blue Man Down at 3. Life on Death Row and Mummy Daddy would probably round out my Top 5.
My ranking: 1) aliens 2) alien 3) alien: resurrection (honestly a movie I find hi GG my underrated with a lot to love. Very watchable on its own) 4) AVP 5) Prometheus (I suddenly appreciate the opening theme ‘life’ that plays at the start of the film) 6) alien: Covenant 7) alien 3 (I find this movie to dour and depressing even with its good moments) 8) AVPR
Its a shame we will not get a conclusion to Davids story after AC 😢
8. Resurrection 7. Requiem 6.covenant 5.AVP 4.alien 3 3. Prometheus 2.aliens 1.alien
In Alien, a single xenomorph is able to hunt down and kill a crew single handedly. Additionally, Ash is another hidden antagonist with the aid of the company behind him. Multiple tiers of horror, not including the seclusion and being trapped in deep space. In Aliens, the marines are killed mostly by their own incompetence. xenomorphs are mowed down by sentry guns, which is a cool scene, but it lessens the threat the xenomorphs were and reduces them to big bugs. The scariest xenomorphs look in Aliens is when there's only one on the screen, like the dropship and when Burke runs off. I think Alien will always be the superior film. Aliens is a good action film that just happens to have xenomorphs in it.
Seriously, 1 and 2 is on par. The rest doesn't exist.
The only ones I haven't watched the were the predator related ones. That being said, Covenant was PAINFUL. The behavior of the characters has to make logical sense for me and the behavior of the characters in Covenant was so silly the whole thing was like a bad 80s slasher movie.
Alien is a way better movie than Aliens!
The first act of Alien is epic and will never be recreated, but Aliens as a whole is non-stop horror and action. When Ripley rocks up in the loader. DAYUM!
@@rossleeson8626 I wouldn't really call it horror!
Also stars THE BEST creature design ever!
It's a toss up....one is horror/suspense, the other is horror/action/suspense. I'd slightly favour the sequel.....I watched them both the last two nights after buying the anthology set.....but I love both.
I think the four one are all perfect on their own and scifi classics (even Alien 3 and Resurrection). The AVP movies and Prequels are horrible however...
Alien is a classic! Ranking any of the other movies higher is like ranking The Goodfather below Goodfather 2 & 3. It's just not something you do! That said... It depends on when you got into the franchise, and what your preferred style is. Aliens is a fantastic movie, but it's more action and badassery than the first one. In the first movie, you don't really get to see the creature until the very end, and by then, you're on the edge of your seat. On to the list... 1. Alien 2. Aliens 3. Covenant - The ending is just magnificent. Pure horror! Makes up for everything you may want to complain about. Here's when it gets tricky 4. Alien 3 - The extended version puts a lot of things into a new perspective. I quite like this one. 5. Alien Resurrection - Great potential, but once Elgyn dies, it's just garbage. Easily the worst in the franchise! The reason I didn't list the remaining three are as follows: Prometheus - A really good movie, that I would place somewhere at 3 -5. The reason I don't is that it's more of a backstory to the rest. It fits, but then again, it doesn't fit. AVP... Not my cup of tea! Haven't seen them, nor do I feel the need to! If anyone asks how to cash in on previous blockbusters, this would be a great way to illustrate it. Predator 1 & 2 are great movies, and they don't need to be tossed in a mixer with another franchise.
